The first ever Chicago Open Air festival debuted with a crowd of 75000 fans over the weekend of July 15th, 16th and 17th at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois. The inaugural festival featured headline performances from Slipknot and Disturbed, and highlighted internationally acclaimed German metal band Rammstein's only US performance of 2016.

Other highlights included the first live performance of Korn's new single "Rotting in Vain" and an appearance from 82 year old John Hetlinger (viral video sensation from America's Got Talent) during Drowning Pool's set.
