Good news for rock and metal fans across The States: festival season isn't done yet! Thanks to world class live music and entertainment producers AEG Live and Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP), music festivals are becoming something to look forward to year round rather than just the summer. Here's a look at what's coming this September and October.

High Elevation

September 10

A debut festival for 2016, High Elevation will take place at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado. Over 11 hours and two stages, performances will include Ministry, Pierce The Veil, Chevelle and Volbeat with Avenged Sevenfold headlining. Tickets start at $59.50 and are available to purchase through the official High Elevation Festival website.

Revolution Rock Festival

September 17

Another new festival for 2016, Revolution Rock was created specifically for rock fans in New England. The one day festival will feature performances from Avenged Sevenfold, Slayer, Volbeat, Chevelle, plus over 10 additional bands throughout the day. Revolution Rock Festival will be held outdoors at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. General Admission tickets start at $59.50 and are available for purchase now.

Rock Allegiance

September 17-18

Initially starting as a tour, then evolving to a festival and back to a tour, Rock Allegiance has been around in one form or another since 2011. This year, the festival expands to two days and 35+ bands over three stages after reaching a record high attendance of over 26,000 in 2015. Rock Allegiance will return to Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania, with tickets on sale now.

Texas Mutiny

September 24

The third of four brand new festivals for fall of 2016, Texas Mutiny will be one day of non stop rock at Petty Place at Texas Motor Speedway in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones and Chevelle are among the 15+ bands set to headline three stages at Texas Mutiny.

Houston Open Air

September 24-25

Danny Wimmer (producer of DWP) himself said, "I have been looking at Houston for years. The market has all the elements needed for a unique destination festival: a strong rock community, a vibrant food scene, and a love of great whiskey and craft beer." Houston Open Air will feature over 30 of today's hottest rock acts, plenty of whiskey, craft beer and gourmet man food including exotic options for wild boar, duck sausage dogs and gator fritters. The festival will take place at NRG Park in Houston, Texas, with tickets and hotel packages on sale now. As a bonus, a portion of all proceeds from the festival will benefit the Greater Houston Storm Relief Fund in relief support of recent storms and floods in the Houston community.

Louder Than Life

October 1-2

Following a sold out 50,000 fan attendance in 2015, the original "Music, Whiskey and Gourmet Man Food" festival will return to Champions Park in Louisville, Kentucky, for a third year. When asked how to top last year's sellout, Danny Wimmer responded, "The easy answer? Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold." The two bands will headline Louder Than Life's two days, along with over 35 additional bands across three stages. Tickets and camping packages are on sale now.

October 22-23

California's largest rock festival will return to Discovery Park in Sacramento for a fifth year. Consistent with the other fall festivals produced by AEG and DWP, Aftershock will feature a headline performance from Avenged Sevenfold on Sunday, however Saturday will be headlined by a rare appearance from iconic rock band Tool. The weekend will include sets from over 35 additional bands across three stages along with onsite experiences for Monster Energy, Jack Daniel's, Keep Gold Metal and Make Your Mark Graffiti Zone, among others. Specially priced hotel and festival ticket packages are on sale now.
